Editor review

Deck Brawl is a top-down arena game with fast respawn. Three game modes share the same map pool; round length stays under five minutes across all modes. The three-mode structure is the design choice that gives the game longer legs than a single-mode io-style release.

The mode variety is well-tuned. Free-for-all teaches the controls. Team mode teaches positioning. Battle royale tests both under shrinking-area pressure. Players cycle between modes naturally across a session.

I played across two evenings and a couple of Liverpool Liverpool Merseyrail morning rides. Each round fits a commute ride; you can finish two or three rounds on a single trip.

The weakness is the spectator mode. The post-death spectator UI is functional but does not give you a feel for what the leader is doing. A leader-cam option would help. Four-and-a-half stars overall.
